Privacy Policy

This Policy explains what personal data Kriando processes, why, who it is shared with and how you can exercise your rights, under Argentina's Personal Data Protection Law 25,326, its Regulatory Decree 1558/2001 and the rules of the Agency for Access to Public Information (AAIP). It applies to kriando.ilav.dev and to the Kriando apps for Android and iOS.

1. Data controller

The database controller is ilav dev, developer of Kriando. For any question about privacy or your data, write to [email protected].

2. Data we process

  • Account data: first and last name, email, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), language and time zone.
  • Data we receive from Google if you sign in with your Google account: first and last name, email address, profile photo and your Google account identifier. We do not access your contacts, emails, files or any other data in your Google account.
  • Agreement data: child support amount, adjustment index and frequency, payments, balances, expenses, split percentages, expense proposals and their answers.
  • Receipts: images or PDF files you upload (transfers, tickets, invoices). They may contain bank or third-party details; upload only what is needed.
  • Children's data: name and, optionally, date of birth, used only to identify the agreement and organize expenses.
  • Other parent's data: the name and email you use to invite the other parent to an agreement.
  • Technical and security data: IP address, device and browser type, sign-in dates, activity logs and, in the apps, the device identifier used to send you push notifications.

3. What we use it for

  • To create and manage your account and identify you when you sign in.
  • To provide the service: calculate child support, record payments and expenses, share the agreement information with the other parent and generate the PDF file.
  • To send emails and push notifications the service needs: sign-in links, invitations, password recovery and notices of payments, expenses, proposals and support updates.
  • To keep the platform secure, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.
  • To improve the platform with aggregated usage statistics that do not identify you.

We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for our own or third-party advertising.

4. Google user data

If you sign in with Google, Kriando receives your name, email, profile photo and account identifier, only to create your account, identify you when you sign in and show your name and photo in the app.

  • Use: we use this data only for authentication and identification of your Kriando account. We do not use it for advertising, commercial profiling, credit assessment or to train artificial intelligence models.
  • Transfer: we do not sell or transfer Google data to third parties, except to the providers that host the service (section 7) as needed to provide it, when required by law, or with your express consent. Nobody at Kriando reads this data unless you allow it for support, for security, or when required by law.
  • Storage and security: it is stored on our servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS) with restricted access.
  • Retention and deletion: it is kept while you have an account. You can revoke Kriando's access at any time from your Google account security settings (myaccount.google.com/permissions) and ask for your account and data to be deleted as explained in section 10.
  • Compliance: Kriando's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Children's data

Kriando is meant for people over 18. Children's data is added by their parents in the exercise of parental responsibility, is limited to what the stated purpose needs and is handled with special care, in their best interests.

6. Legal basis and consent

We process your data with your consent, given when you create an account and accept this Policy, and as needed to provide the service you requested. Information about payments and expenses may reveal aspects of your family and financial situation, so we use it only for the purposes in this Policy.

7. Who we share it with

  • The other parent in the agreement, who sees the information added to that agreement.
  • Infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf and under our instructions: the cloud server where Kriando runs, Google Cloud and Firebase (private receipt storage, push notifications, analytics and crash reports) and email delivery services. Some of them have servers outside Argentina (for example, in the United States); in those cases we require adequate levels of protection, under section 12 of Law 25,326.
  • Authorities, when required by law or a court order.

8. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, single-use sign-in links, per-account access control and backups. Receipts are kept in private storage and can only be opened, through links that expire in minutes, by the two parents of the agreement. Every payment, expense and proposal is sealed with a hash to detect changes. No system is infallible: if we detect an incident affecting your data, we will let you know.

9. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you close it, we delete or anonymize it within 30 days, except what we must keep by law or what is needed to keep an agreement's shared history with the other parent.

10. Your rights and how to delete your account

You can request access to your data, or its correction, update or deletion, and the closing of your account, at any time and free of charge, by writing to [email protected] from your account email. We will answer within the terms of Law 25,326: ten calendar days for access and five business days for correction, update or deletion. You can also edit your data from your profile.

The AGENCY FOR ACCESS TO PUBLIC INFORMATION, as the Control Body of Law No. 25,326, has the power to handle complaints and claims filed by those whose rights are affected by non-compliance with the personal data protection rules in force.

Data subjects have the right to access their data free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is proven, as set out in section 14, subsection 3 of Law No. 25,326.

11. Cookies and analytics

The site uses browser local storage to keep your session and preferences. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to measure usage in aggregate. You can block cookies in your browser, although some features may stop working.

12. Changes and contact

If we make significant changes to this Policy, we will notify you by email or on the platform before they take effect. Questions: [email protected].
